Speaker: Guest Speaker Edward Brown Jusan Kainei
Edward Brown Jusan Kainei began his Zen practice in 1965 and was ordained a Zen priest by Shunryu Suzuki Roshi (author of Zen Mind Beginners Mind) in 1971 at the San Francisco Zen Center. He spent twenty years at SFZC, including eight years at Tassajara where he initially served for two and a half years as the first tenzo, then as doan, guest season shika, shuso, and later as head resident teacher. At the City Center he was buyer, ino, president of SFZC, chairman of the Board, and head resident teacher.
He is the author of the following books :
